The Instant Party Eisenhower Expressway
Celebration 2006!
A traveling party on wheels that constantly celebrates 50 years
of interstate in the USA!! And inspires its viewers to do the same!
| Interior | --The interior will be painted to give the illusion of a receding road. The road will be painted with bright colors to create a happy dance party atmosphere. | View a sketch of the interior |
| Sound | --The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Authority has put together a list of songs dealing with the road in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Interstate. The songs from this list will be played at random through the camper's sound system. | list of famous road songs |
| Image and Light Show | --There will be images and lights that flash in sync to the music playing. A computer program will be written to coordinate this. The images will all be taken out of the front windshield of the car while driving on the interstate. | View a movie of road images in sync with music |
| Souvenirs | --There will be two car-shaped carts located inside of the trailer that can be rolled out to allow vistors to create souvenirs to take home. The souvenirs will be an Interstate commerative air freshner and a mix CD of their favorite road songs from the Federal Highway Authority Collection. | View images of car carts and completed air fresheners |
| Documentary | For the first 30 minutes of every hour their will be a documentary that talks to some of the musicians of the road songs and other artists who have made art about the road. The various artists will discuss the way the road has inflluenced them. During the other half hour of the hour there will be dancing, music, and craft making going on. Visitors will be able to make their own art (air freshener) inspired by the road! | |
| Events | At each stop on the tour a band or speaker will be able to use the camper's sound system to give a performance about their relationship to the road, in order to make each event a special event. |

2 by 4's and other wood to build baseboard lighting unit trough.
2 car-shaped supermarket shopping carts
custom made bins for craft supplies and computer storage inside craft
carts
One computer for the CD making on craft cart with CD burning software
and a database of all the on the road songs.
